Brief

Back. In one piece. Not as worn out as I expected. Only have enough brain power to watch Grey's Anatomy tonight.

Thank you for your response. I appreciated the understanding and validation. I like knowing that what I've said both makes sense and doesn't offend.

I'm actually reading A Grief Observed right now and, although I do not know that level of grief, so much of what C.S. Lewis is saying touches on my experiences as of late.

The good side of things is my parents are still around. There are still chances for us to heal, at least some.

Thank you again.

Hi M, A Grief Observed is a good book. I read it a few years ago. CS Lewis has the ability to put into words things that others struggle with. I can't remember where he said this (I don't think it was in the same book), but I like that he said "Think of me as a fellow patient in the same hospital who, having been admitted a little earlier, could give some advice"

I hope you manage to sort things out. Parents are never a simple issue...
