I find the current spate of bad weather somewhat depressing. Since we got back from Sweden, it has hardly ever felt as though it is still summer. G is refusing to wear a coat to work on point of principle. It is summer, even if it is wet and cold!
I am off to Paris tomorrow with my nephew and sister. G can’t come due to various work related things, which is a shame. I am hoping that the weather will be decidedly better there. We are only allowed to do “B list” things while we are there though because G wants to go at some point and we are a) not allowed to have any fun while we are there this week and b) all the “A list” things need to be saved for a future trip. So that means, no Eiffel Tower or boats on the Seine or visiting the Arc de Triomphe or Notre Dame. It’s going to be great…

Enjoy the trip to Paris. Try to visit the Paris Mosque, serves wonderful Arabic tea and cakes, close to a great park. TFx
TF - Thanks for the recommendation. Arabic tea and cakes sounds great!
I'm just back from Paris. Hope you have a great time. I'm off to Stockholm in March - must stop taking the same holidays as you !
I hope you went and saw th Mona Lisa. It really is quite an incredible picture...I never thought I'd say that before I saw it.
Pam - Paris was great (as was Sweden). I really liked Paris, much more than I expected to and I suspect I will go back fairly soon. I hope you like Stockholm. I thought it was a great city and really enjoyed the four days we spent there. The only problem was that out hotel room was a bit hot as the air con had failed - but I don't suppose that will be a problem in March. I hope all is well with you.
Kahless - No, we didn't go to see that. I plan to go back with G, and so will add it to the list of things to do while we are there.
You should go see the Van Gogh's at the Musee D'Orsay too !
Pam - I walked passed it but didn't go in. I am a very bad person.
