Tidy

When I went round to my parents’ house on Sunday, despite not having lived at home for a number of years, I ended up having to tidy my bedroom. I don’t think I was ever told to do this as a child (this could explain a lot). I did get to eat some birthday cake but then had to go back upstairs and finish tidying up. Or not finish, given that it would take more than an afternoon to sort that room out… At least there was cake and it was home made and even had lemon curd in it, which strangely I had been thinking about earlier in the day. I wish that I could have things that were a bit more significant than lemon curd turn into a reality.

The job is going well, although I had to stay at work late last night to make a phone call. I’ve decided that I need to do some of the work myself, as opposed to mainly supervising the work of the team, and so was sorting out some of it yesterday evening. We have such a massive target to achieve that anything I can do to help us get to the end of it is going to help. It makes the job more interesting and helps to fill in some of the quieter moments as well. It helps to keep life interesting.

I assume you never got told to tidy your bedroom as a kid cos you were extremely organised anyway.

Oh Kahless you have such faith in me, and sadly it is unfounded. I am not a very tidy person at all. Although compared to G, I am very tired, but that is not a very high standard to beat!

I am not known for my tidiness. I think mum just gave up and decided there were bigger battles to fight!

Kahless - I saw the freeholder today and it was only after she had gone I realised quite what a state the kitchen was. I have now tidied it a but, but I am certainly not known for being today...
