Change

G seems to have turned into a different person – a very industrious person. The kitchen is now clean enough to eat your food off (I prefer a plate personally, but there you go…) and during the ad breaks on TV G seems to find various chores to do. This is not normal for G and I am wondering if there might be some alien involvement.

We were thinking about going to stay down on the south coast again at some point and I was checking the website of the place we often stay, only to discover it has changed owners. I don’t think I would want to go and stay there with new owners because it wouldn’t quite be the same. I think we need to find a new seaside destination.

In other news, it is really great to see LKSN back in blogging world, but the circumstances are not so great. You might want to wander over there and be nice.

If alien involvement is suspected, perhaps you ought to check the government's recently released files??

Regarding the cleaning, it's a delayed effect from eating meat: it has made her more energetic and diligent. Mmmm, meat...for all your cleaning needs.

I hope you are 'being careful' it's a symptom of being up the duff you know! tsk

Slue Soup - a good point. But then they might take G away and who is going to do the cooking and cleaning for me then?

Gripes - I knew meat was a miracle food. We are going to a barbecue this weekend, so I'll have to hope that G sneaks a burger and a bit of chicken because there is some tidying and cleaning that needs to be done. And obviously I can't do it.

FIMG - My goodness! Nooooooooo... We shall clearly have to take precautions. I'll leave that thought there or else there will be lots of jokes about rubber gloves etc.

Why not try sunny North Wales?

Kahless - it would have to be sunny North Wales near the sea. I need to see the sea! Is it ever sunny on North Wales though?

I'm in shock! Now I know EXACTLY where you stay on the south coast (i think). And i'm offended I never got a visit! Is it the place called the L****** in the sunny bit of the south coast? Was just discussing the change of ownership the other day. If its not that place, ignore me :-)

Lemonpillows! - I think that's probably the place. Is that really close to you? I feel very naughty now! But your leaving there anyway and then you'll be much closer to where I live and then there'll be no excuse anyway!

Regarding south coast holidays, I can recommend the Isle of Wight - surrounded by sea, often sunnier than the mainlaind (it's to do with the coastal breezes or something) some mighty fine cake, some historic and cultural odds and sods, some beautiful coastal bits including fossil-hunting - and you get to go on a ferry, so it feels like you are getting away from it all. And they have ONLY got red squirrels! Surely that's a bonus too!

Yes! It's about a 3minute drive from where I work! i pass it to get to some of my appointments! You ARE naughty! But no excuses once i'm in slough. Ill hunt you down! ;)

Lemonpillows - I see! I imagine you might want to escape Slough occasionally and I may be willing to offer refuge!

Gripes - sorry, I missed your comment there. I have never been to the Isle of Wight. I was meant to go as a school child but it was when all the teacher strikes were on, so we didn't get to go. It could be a whole new holiday adventure for me.
